Lila Goldsman, PhD has over 20 years’ experience as a clinical psychologist, parent educator, and sports/performance psychologist. She empowers her clients to maximize their potential by becoming aware of their inner strengths and identifying and removing obstacles that are getting in the way of achieving their dreams. As a sports/performance psychologist, she helps athletes, artists, and leaders gain the tools and mindset needed to achieve their optimal performance on a consistent basis.
Dr. Goldsman earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology in 1997 and is a Diplomate to the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
Dr. Goldsman is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Positive Parenting (PPP), and Problem Solving Therapy (PST). She is trained in Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Therapy. Dr. Goldsman has also served as a training director for psychology interns and post-docs.
Dr. Goldsman was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she was ranked 3rd in tennis and 1st in table tennis. She lives in the Los Angeles area and enjoys world music and literature. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

My experience enables me to offer effective individualized psychological care. I help people transcend difficult times, life transitions, and relational problems.
I am trained and experienced in a range of psychotherapy approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Positive Psychology and Psychodynamic.
I work with adults. I am cross culturally fluent and work well with diverse populations, immigrants, LGBTQI, and elder adults.

Thanks to my extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT) I can work on immediately reducing your anxiety, fear, and panic; provide you with tools to manage your own anxiety; and return to your desired level of functioning.
